Meet Dr. Jeanna Abella-Desuyo, D.C.
Dr. Jeanna Abella-Desuyo D.C., B.S. graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. Her fascination with biomechanics and the complexity of human anatomy fueled her passion throughout her academic career. During her tenure at CSULB, she volunteered at the Long Beach VA Hospital in the physical therapy department as well as at Los Alamitos Orthopaedic & Sports Phystical Therapy. She began as a Chiropractic Assistant at Rockenmacher Chiropractic during her last year of her undergraduate studies and discovered her passion for chiropractic and the role it plays in wellness care and injury rehabilitation and prevention. She continued her academic journey at Southern California University of Health Sciences and graduated in 2017 with her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. She has worked with Dr. Rockenmacher for the past 5 years as a Chiropractic Assistant and Intern and is now part of the office as an Associate Doctor of Chiropractic to the practice. Dr. Abella-Desuyo utilizes a variety of methods and techniques in her treatment approach, which include: drop-table, diversified, pediatric, Instrumented Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), taping (certified), SOT and myofascial release.
Dr. Abella-Desuyo strives to provide thorough patient-centered chiropractic care to patients of all ages who suffer from a variety of symptoms and conditions. She believes that it is important to focus on restoring optimal health by providing care to the body’s structure to establish proper biomechanics and functionality. By providing hands-on care and working with patients to help understand the treatment journey, she aims to help patients heal, rehabilitate and prevent injuries so that they may maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
